All Japan Pro Wrestling Jan 11/1986

Author's note: I will not be posting video links to any of the AJPW bouts as GoogleShare will not let me link to youtube! The bouts are very easy to find and view in order as I'm doing it!Just put AJPW Archive in your search bar,use the link to go to googledrive very easy to use(Hell If I can do it I know you bright wrestling minds can)!
AJPW 1/11/86 1st bout Mill Mascaras vs Takashi Ishikawa Great grappling mat work in this match by both me. In fact their was a counter I had never seen before(I have been a fan for 30 years).Ishikawa put Mascaras in a cross-arm breaker, Mill got to his feet.Managed to shove his opponent's legs in his armpit and turn him into a Texas cloverleaf! I re-watched the spot three times! So well done! The match picked up near the finish(the trend for AJPW of the era! With the Lucha Legend picking up the victory with what I have always called the "Brisco Roll" out of the corner in about 12 minutes.
Match #2 The Great Kabuki vs Isamu Teranishi A basic almost one-sided squash for Kabuki. He had become very famous in the states in the early 80s with big runs in Georgia, Dallas and Mid Atlantic. No Nunchucks or green mist here. He worked on the leg of Teranishi using a figure four and a modified Indian death lock. Odd finish out of nowhere as Teranishi grabbed a headlock put his feet on the top turnbuckle pushed off both men went down and Kabuki raised his shoulder at the two count. Mistimed botched finish as the ref was slow, and kabuki made almost no effort to raise his shoulder! I don't think the crowd knew it was the finish, based on no reaction at all!
3rd bout Tag match Tenryu and Motoshi Okuma vs Riki Chosu and Yoshiaki Yatsu.A very good match with stiff shots flying on both sides! This was the next chapter in the super intense Tenryu/Choshu long standing battle. Hard slaps and chops echo loud throughout this contest! The match ends after Okuma submits following a Lariat from Choshu and a knee breaker/figure four combo from Yatsu! Tenryu and Choshu were on the floor beating the hell out of each other when the finish took place. There was pushing and shoving by the combatants after the match in the ring. When all of a sudden Jumbo Tsuruta hits the ring and goes after Choshu!(setting up a singles bout.....I hope!!!)
Final bout from this night, Jumbo Tsuruta/Samson Fuyuki vs Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham. The best 7 minute tag match you will ever see!!!.....Until a horrible botchamania worthy finish! Rotunda gets tossed from the ring, Leaving the Japanese to double team Windham Jumbo shoots him from the turnbuckle onto Fuyuki coming of the ropes with a crossbody Windham reverses beautifully. The ref goes down to count gets to 2 stops then waits a beat and starts the count again and gets three!!! I don't know if Fuyuki forgot the finish or the ref screwed up, but it was a mess and a damn shame! Because that bout was great!
